GALOT MOTORSPORTS PARK UPDATE

Heavy construction continues here at Galot with the continuing upgrades in lighting, water, drainage and sewer. Rock is currently being rolled in and graded in the racers pit areas in preparation for all new asphalt that will run from the staging lanes beyond the quarter mile. Delays beyond our control and inclement winter/spring weather have made things tough on getting the facility race ready.

We will most likely not be able to get on the track until late July early August, due to the huge amount of work being done in the pit areas. We apologize for the delays, but we feel it's best to do it right the first time and move forward.

THE TRACTOR PULL IS STILL ON GO AS SCHEDULED!

Here's what we are looking at right now TENTATIVELY on our drag race schedule.

August 1-2
Summit Super Series Points
(We will try to run 2 races Saturday (Time Permitting) / 1 race Sunday)

August 7-9
IHRA Division 9 Pro Am

August 29-30
Carolina Coalition/ Summit Super Series Points both Saturday/Sunday

September 10-13
PDRA

September 19-20
Summit Super Series Points both Saturday/Sunday

This will enable us to have a Bracket Final Team, IHRA Pro Am Event, Carolina Coalition Event and PDRA Event

If we see we are able to open earlier than the dates posted we will surely do so. Upon opening we will have our weekly Char-Grill / RPM Motorsports Thursday Night Thunder test-n-tune from 6-10pm.

NEW GALOT MOTORSPORTS PARK PROVES IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZINGLY QUICK & FAST
August 6th, 2014 / BENSON, NC - The new under-development GALOT Motorsports Park had their first ever race cars on the all new state-of-the-art concrete surface. Todd Tutterow and Kevin Rivenbark made several hits down the all new (soon to open in 2015) race track clocking some very impressive numbers! Tutterow, on the very first pass ever clocked an astonishing 3.779 only to bettered upon his second pass clocking the quickest pass in PDRA Pro Boost trim with a 3.758 at over 194 mph! Needless to say, "this track is simply going to be amazingly quick and fast". The laps made by both drivers were in legal trim with their 14/71 Roots Blowers! Both the 3.77 and 3.75 posted on the new GALOT track are much quicker than the current national record which is set at 3.85!

GALOT Motorsports Park will be soon opening for private team testing this season with detailed information posted very soon. This testing will not be open to the public. Public race fans will soon see all the action come 2015!
